The
Rescue from Heights Cart is similar in construction to the Confined Space
Entry Cart, includes the following features:
- 34"
wide x 90" long to accommodate the Stokes Stretcher and Back Board
- "Fifth Wheel"
Steering for maximum maneuverability
- Foam-filled Pneumatic
Tires to prevent flats
- Wagon tongue has
both towing ring and a "T" handle for maneuvering, and when
locked in the upright position a brake engages the front wheels to prevent
inadvertent rolling; guides for fork trucks are also included.
- Matting on all
horizontal surfaces to reduce damage and noise
- The drawers for
small items such as Prussik cords, carbiners, pulleys, and tools have
a lock-in/lock-out feature keeping them either completely closed or
completely open to prevent inadvertent opening or closing during transportation
or when parked on an incline.
- Hinged bar to hold
drawers and doors shut during transport (furnished with hasp for padlock).
- Cabinets have roll-out
trays (rather than fixed shelves) to facilitate access to stowed materials
such as rope bags, helmets, and rescue gear; more ergonomically correct
since a person won't have to bend over to see into the back of the cabinet
or reach and twist to lift equipment.
- Cart is red with
decal (ie: "RESCUE FROM HEIGHTS CART") in white 6" letters
- Brackets for Fork
Lift
- An optional cover
is available to keep dust of the equipment during storage.
